Am watching this on TV right now (via TV One), which I stumbled upon while surfing channels, yet figured a video clip of it might also be available online too.

Merry Christmas!

Autumn Leaves – Roger Williams

*Updated 2x*

[via YouTube, here; posted by contactoxportal (August 30, 2007); length: 2:05 minutes/seconds]

Just learned that on the day I was born this music was number one (1) in the USA. In addition, I remember this tune well from when I was a child and it was one I have always enjoyed immensely and very much still do.

Accordingly and, not that I am in any rush for death to beckon, nor am I expecting to depart this lifetime soon either, however when the time does arrive for me to eventually journey to the next dimension and if any brief observance of such a moment should be held by friends as well as family members, it is my request that Autumn Leaves as performed by Roger Williams be played in full both in remembrance and celebration of my spirit graduating from this world onto worlds unknown (using a recording of the music is both suitable as well as preferred).

To be certain, this is the tune I will be humming as I venture on, if I can manage to remember how it goes anyway.

:-) [smile]

*Update*: This version off of an old vinyl record plays a both bit louder as well as longer.

*Note*: finally managed to remember to add the source and linkages for both videos (thanks to BK for the indirect heads up on it); last updated on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 6:45 PM [ET].

Bagel Radio Playing My Song

Am listening to the weekly live Bagel Radio 480 Minutes show (starts at 9 a.m. Pacific Time and runs until 5 p.m. PT), an Internet radio broadcast produced by DJ Ted Leibowitz aka Bagel Ted via Live365.

In fact I just got online at the one computer in town with sound capability and began tuning in to the show a short time ago. Then I shot an instant message to Ted about the promo for his show with someone talking about what their favorite type of bagel is.

Ted replied quickly and informed me that he had gotten the song I kept requesting for a long period of time over the years. The song is World PartyShip Of FoolsPrivate Revolution [length: 4:30]. Check out a previous blog post of mine concerning the song(s), here (Saturday, October 07, 2006).

[Thank you Ted!]

For additional information about Ted’s weekly Internet radio show, be sure to check out the Bagel Radio blog.

Not Ready To Make Nice
Words & Music by Emily Robison, Martie Maguire, Natalie Maines, Dan Wilson

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

I’m through with doubt
There’s nothing left for me to figure out
I’ve paid a price
And I’ll keep paying

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I know you said
Can’t you just get over it
It turned my whole world around
And I kind of like it

I made my bed and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets and I don’t mind sayin’
It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they’d write me a letter
Sayin’ that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

etown in Burlington @ the Flynn Center Tonight (9/18th) @ 7:30 PM

*Updated*

logo: e-townetown will be in Burlington today taping a show before a live audience at the Flynn Center (Monday, September 18th) starting at 7:30 PM (read a previous blog post of mine on the subject, here; Monday, August 21, 2006).

Read etown’s Burlington show summary, here.

Point FM is reporting that tickets are still available, here.

While I had hoped I would be able to find some way to attend tonight’s etown taping as part of the live audience, not being able to afford tickets myself, I will look forward to the airing of the show in late October to listen to it via radio or Internet stream like everyone else.

*Update*: Read Sky Barsch‘s (Gadabout; Burlington Free Press blog) post on the subject, here.
